# Whidbey Alpha - don't expect too much...

With all the [hype](http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/posts/32965.aspx) about the distribution of the Whidbey Alpha at the PDC, I can't help but worry that people will get their hopes up a bit much...just remember it's an Alpha, whilst phenomenally cool and displaying lots of the new .NET 1.2 (or 2.0, not sure what it's called right now!), it is a very early version. Expect lots of stuff in this version to still a bit buggy and incomplete - not saying it won't be a whole lot of fun, I'm just saying take it for what it is. 
I know there's no chance in hell that I'd ever expose any of my Alphas to the public!
