[Nice sample and methodology](http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx?SampleGuid=80fd2d0b-47d5-4f64-b2e5-0eb17041f96b) from [Robert Downey](http://www.robertdowney.com) (obvious joke omitted), shows some really interesting (to me at least) insights into the workings of ViewState (you may be noticing a pattern here :-))
