Any English shopkeeper out there...read this..Scottish Money is LEGAL TENDER IN ENGLAND!!!

UPDATE: Was told this by a guy at work - no bank notes are legal tender in Scotland - (checked it out and it appears to be true!). So the guy in the shop who turned down a Scottish £20 was just dumb

• especially as the Scottish note is less likely to be a forgery than the English ones (Scottish notes have more security features...)
